The Workshop on Society, Privacy and the Semantic Web - Policy and Technology (PrivOn 2017) is part of the 16th International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC 2017) in Vienna, Austria, on 21 & 22 October 2017.

Several members of the SPECIAL project participate in the organising committee and the program committee.

Topics for the workshop include surveillance and tracking with semantic technologies, economic incentives for privacy and semantic technologies, data protection laws, anonymity / identity / pseudonymity, digital signatures, encryption and linked (open) data, privacy-by-design, and more.

Submissions are accepted until the 21st of July.

The ISWC takes place at the congress centre (Messe Wien), the workshop at the adjacent WU Campus.
