6 days of conference sessions, 3 days of in-depth tutorials and workshops, 50+ case studies, and 200 hours of education for over 1,000 data professionals from around the globe. 

The UK is mostly going along with the European Data Protection Reform despite Brexit.

Vienna University of Economics and Business is looking for a staff member (a master student or PhD student) to work, among other things, on the SPECIAL project.

The paper Transparent Personal Data Processing: The Road Ahead, by four members of the SPECIAL project, has been accepted for presentation at TELERISE 2017. The paper discusses ideas around the use of a log, or ledger, to keep track of personal data and who it is shared with.

SPECIAL kick off meeting was organized at the European Commission, Luxembourg on 15 -16 January 2017.

The project consortium met over two days in order to ensure a quick start of all project activities and define in details the project first months workplan. Project partners also took part in the Information and Networking Days on Horizon 2020 Big Data Public-Private Partnership topics 2017 organized in Luxembourg followed by the Kick-off meeting.
